A. No, Permits are to be done at your city hall.
A3. Q. Do you supply me with what I need to get my permits?
A. Yes, We give the safety, ownership, fire and the T.S.S.A paper works.
A4. Q. How long does it take to get my permits?
A. Typically about 1-2 weeks, if you have all your info in order.
A5. Q. Can I get my permits before the start of the rental?
A. No, your city will need to inspect the truck before issuing you a permit.
A6.Q. How much does a plaza's landlord charge to park the truck in the plaza?
A. Depending on which plaza you're referring to, or event you choose.
A7. Q. Do you help find locations for us to work the truck?
A. We have "limited" but great locations and events that we only connect our clients with.
A8. Q. Do I need a refreshment license?
A. Most cities do require it, even when a permit is not required.
A9. Q. Do I need a different permit form every city that I go to?
A. Yes, unless you're on private property or at an event.
A10. Q. Do I need a permit on private property?
A. No, only on public roads.
B.THE RENTAL
B1. Q. Can I reserve the truck 2-3 months in advance if I make a deposit to ensure that I will receive that particular truck?
A. No, we dont reserve earlier than one month before your start month, except #8.
B2. Q. How does it work?
A. Step1= Find a location.
Step2= Choose a Truck, Pay 1st & last month's rent. Then pay $1,000 at pick up. Step3= Insure the Truck( "If" you are planing on driving it).
Step4= Add Logos or a Wrap to the outside of the unit. (Optional)
Step5= Obtain your permit from your city, if you're not on private property.
B3.Q. How long does it take to get a truck from you on the road from you?
A. "As soon as Possible" is around 1 week, Granted that you've paid the deposit.
B4. Q. Can you hold a unit for me until my partner has a chance to come see it?
A. We can try, but it is 1st pay 1st served.
B5. Q. Does my rent ever change?
A. Depending on the time of year, Your rent may decrease but it will never increase while you are in possession of this truck.
B6. Q. Can rent start in the middle of the month or does it have to start on the 1st?
A. No, rent starts on the 1st of the month, even if you pick it up on a later date.
B7. Q. How long is the contract?
A. As long as you like, It's a month to month or week to week contract.
B8. Q. Are there any discounts?
A. Yes, if you pay in advance for 4 months. There's also other discounts(YHWH)
B9. Q. Do the rent remain the same through the winter months?
A. We do offer a lower winter rate to renters that have Never paid late in the past.
B10. Q. Can I rent weekends only?
A. Yes, at the weekly rate( #1b) but it's not a guarantee you'll receive the same truck every weekend.
B11. Q. Where can I operate the truck?
A. That's up to you and your local authority or a landlord that you've found.
B12. Q. Can I lease to own?
A. Yes, that is option #1A, or Click on "Lease to Own" in the menu to see if you qualify for the Lease to Own program.
B13. Q. Where do I park the truck every night when Im done working?
A. Your driveway, public storage or a business's parking lot, with their permission.
B14. Q. Can I go see the Trucks, Trailers and Containers in person?
A. Yes, we meet by appointments only please.
B15. Q. Can I take the truck to use over 3 hours away or even out of Province?
A. Yes, but there are additional rental charges & a $2,000 security deposit.
B16. Q. Do you supply insurance?
A. No, Click Insurance in the menu to get more info and prices of insurance.
B17. Q. Do these trucks make a lot of money?
A. Yes! Depending on your location & food quality, Trucks that we've operated
in the past selling "Gourmet Hot Dogs" have earned up to $40,000 in a month.
B18.Q. Does any of the rent that I've paid go towards Purchasing the Food Truck?
A. Yes, 10% of all rent paid go towards buying.
B19.Q. How soon should I reserve a truck for next year?
A. They are usually all gone by the end of February, mid March.
B20. Q. Does any of the rent go towards the purchasing price?
A. Yes, there is a 10% buyers incentive to buy
C. THE TRUCK
C1. Q. Does everything work? Do trucks drive?
A. Yes & Yes!
C2. Q. Am I allowed to wrap the truck?
A. Yes.
C3. Q. Can you bring the truck to the wrap company before my rental starting date?
A. Yes, it can be arranged.
C4. Q. How long does it take to wrap the truck?
A. One week
C5. Q. Do I need a special driver's license to drive these trucks?
A. No, a "G" will do.
C6. Q. What if the truck needs repairing, who pays for that?
A. We pay for repairs( not caused by your negligence) . You'll have to bring it to our mechanics in Georgetown.
C7. Q. Is the truck plain white or does it have graphics on it?
A. Usually it has a wrap left behind from the previous renter, which you can wrap over. But truck #8 is white and does not have a wrap.
C8. Q. Do I have to remove my wrap when I'm done with the rental?
A. Only If your wrap is peeling, bubbling or in a bad condition, or if you received an unwrap truck from us.
C9. Q. Where can I park the truck to sell food?
A. Speak with your local authority or a landlord. We also know of a few locations.
C10. Q. Do I have to insure it?
A. Yes, if you're going to drive it, otherwise it can be dropped off for you.
C11. Q. What type of fuel does the truck take?
A. Unleaded gas.
C12.Q. What's the difference between a truck and a trailer?
A. A truck has an engine and you drive it. A trailer is something you pull.
C13.Q. Do you also have trailers for rent?
A. Yes #6 & #10 in "what's available.
C14. Q How much is the insurance?
A. Around $150 business & $150 liability.
D. THE KITCHEN
D1. Q. Does everything work?
A. Yes!
D2. Q. Will you add or remove equipment in the kitchen for me?
A. Yes, there is a $5,000 flat rate for that service. Or after you've received the truck you may have a gas fitter change equipment for you.
D3. Q. Does it come with T.S.S.A?
A. Yes, as well as E.S.A
D4. Q. Can it operate in the winter?
A. Yes.
D5. Q. Does it come with the propane tanks already full?
A. No, but there may be propane in the tanks from the previous renter, but we don't fill the tanks, unless it was pre-arranged.
D6. Q. How long does the propane last?
A. Depending on usage, typically one 100 lbs tank will last around 1 weeks.
D7. Q. Does the kitchen come clean?
A. Yes it does come cleaned and ready to go.
D8. Q. What if I'm having a problem with the cooking equipment, who fixes it?
A. We fix it for you, you have to bring it to our shop in Georgetown.
D9. Q. Where do I get power from?
A. The truck can be plugged into a normal 110v 15amp building outlet with an adaptor which we can provide you with, or if the building has an 220v/ 30amp outlet. You can also plug into a generator( not provided)
